A really lovely bed and breakfast, we only had a single nights stay as we were on a road trip but it was easy and a delight. Easy to find, the host Laura was lovely, well located and a super breakfast to get us going on the next leg of our trip.

We had a wonderful experience at the Hillcrest Whitby Hotel. From check-in to check out, our stay was excellent. All the staff are friendly and willing to assist however they can. The hotel is clean and the breakfast is excellent. Would not hesitate to stay here again while in Whitby.

Stayed here for the third time and once again can't believe how fortunate we were to find this hotel. Selected for the first time due to its location and parking, and can honestly say was not disappointed by our choice. Breakfast in own room, was also a first for us, and the choice and quality was first class. Now become our place to book when staying in Whitby

Stayed here for the first time this weekend for 2 nights and will definitely return. The room was spotless with a large comfy bed and large en suite bathroom. The breakfast delivered to our room was lovely and plenty of choice. Only met one of the owners Greig but he was very helpful and friendly to chat with. Thanks. A lot

You can not fault this B&B the service the attention to detail and the helpfulness that you get is second to none situated very close to the harbour side lovely walk down if not as mobile a bus stop outside both ways the rooms and the breakfast’s superb you have pre order and delivered to your door at a time you want beds comfy rooms very clean we will definitely be back this place is a little gem

Friendly and welcoming hosts who made us feel really special ("just let us know if there's anything else you need"), a spotless room, really comfortable bed, clean and spacious en suite bathroom..... and best of all a most generous and absolutely amazing quality breakfast hamper delivered to our room each morning.

Lovely B&B, plenty of parking, great breakfast baskets! Hosts were great, available on WhatsApp if we needed them and friendly, but also gave us plenty of privacy. Room was spotlessly clean. Good location, easy to walk downhill to the centre of Whitby.

I highly recommend this B&B to anyone planning a visit to Whitby. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, yet gave us plenty of privacy to enjoy our stay. We booked the four-poster room, and it exceeded our expectations—it was immaculate, with the most comfortable bed and an excellent shower. A small table and two chairs were thoughtfully placed by the window, making it the perfect spot to enjoy breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, it was pre-ordered upon arrival and delivered to our room in a charming basket. The selection was fantastic, featuring fresh fruit, juices, cereals, bread, pastries, and a choice of hot sandwiches—bacon, sausage, egg, or salmon. There was ample parking for all guests, and the trail to Robin Hood’s Bay was just a five-minute walk away. Overall, it was a delightful stay in a prime location with great hosts. We’ll definitely return on our next visit to Whitby.

Spent a lovely week, we stayed in the Whitby room it was lovely all you needed after a day of exploring the area, parking spot provided too. The breakfast hamper so much choice, so much too, delivered to your room at the time requested. Laura and the team were amazing. Ideally located for Whitby itself, the harbour, the abbey, take a trip on a boat around the harbour and exploring oh and not too mention the Fish and Chips. York about an hour away. RSPB Bempton cliffs about the same we got to see Puffins!. Eden Camp well worth a visit too. We would definitely stay again.

A fantastic venue with an amazing breakfast, extremely comfortable rooms, and great people looking after you. There’s parking available for every room, it’s a short walk from the centre and beach, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for much more! I would recommend to anyone wanting to make their trip to Whitby even better!

A super place to stay in Whitby, close to the centre, with it's own parking and with very friendly, helpful and efficient proprietors. We had a very comfortable single night stay here, in a spacious, clean, well equipped and in good condition ensuite room. Breakfasts served to the room in a hamper/box is an unusual concept but we loved it! Lots of choice when selecting what we wanted the night before and delicious the next morning (we particularly enjoyed the very tasty over-night oats!) We'd be very happy to stay here again sometime!

Superb hotel, small and friendly. Comfortable and spotless rooms with en-suite and drinks making in room. Breakfast ordered previous evening and delivered to room for consumption in private. Parking for all rooms. Short walk into Whitby town centre (uphill on way back though).

Lovely B&B, thoughtful service. Just up the hill from centre of whitby. Really enjoyed our break away for the weekend. Bed really comfy, breakfast was fresh tasty and prompt and nice selection, even complimenty fresh fruit. Felt very chilled staying here. Would certainly go back.

Absolutely Perfect. Great location, just a short walk from the centre but far enough to be nice and peaceful. Everything is exceptional and done to the highest finish, from the entry way, to the exceptionally finished and decorated rooms, to the fantastic bespoke breakfast delivered to your room at a time of your choosing. Laura could not have been nicer. Hillcrest is head & Shoulders above anywhere else in Whitby.

Stayed for 2 nights with 2 other couples. Great location , 10min walk to harbour ( slight hill down). Lovely guesthouse,clean and welcoming.Very comfortable king size bed. Loved the breakfast delivered to room in a crate. Overall very friendly, nothing too much trouble 👍would definitely return .

Spent a lovely 3 nights at Hillcrest. Great location with parking and less than 10 mins into town. House and room was lovely, really comfortable bed, slept very well. Breakfast hampers are amazing and loved the delivery to our room. Warm and welcoming hosts. Thank you. We were very lucky with the weather so able to joy all that Whitby has to offer. Would definitely stay again.

One night stay here. Firstly we were sent a message to inform ourselves that our room was ready which we thought was nice and was an hour or so before the check in time.  We were greeted at the door by a very friendl, helpful and approachable lady and shown to our room with a detailed explanation of how things operated, outer doors, breakfast etc, and if we needed anything, just to call her. Hillcrest has car parking on site, free, one space per room so parking should not be an issue. Its a 10 - 15 minute walk down into Whitby, depending on your pace. The room we had was spacious and comfortable, sofa, table, 2 chairs, tea, coffee , biscuits, glasses, cups and little expresso cups. It was all clean, tidy and nicely presented. Breakfast consists of filling out a form and popping into a tray on the ground floor.  Easy. Just indicate what you would like, cereal toast hot sandwiches   bacon egg sausage any variation of this, fruit, pastries and juices. Due to there not being a dining room, your order is brought to your door in a wooden crate.  You choose from three time slots, 8-830, 830-9 or 9-930. We did have a small issue regarding breakfast but  it was sorted out quickly to our satisfaction. There is a iron, ironing board and fridge for communal use located on the ground floor as well as tourist leaflets displayed on a table. We had a lovely stay in a well run b&b and would have no hesitation in recommending or returning here. Lastly, we found out the lady running this b&b was a relief holiday cover manager (unsure of official title)  In my opinion she ran it like was her own, high standards, amenable, happy to help if she could and very approachable. If you own a hotel etc and need holiday cover, I would recommend her too. Thank you Hillcrest.
